The smell of old leather, exhaust, and oil fill the air as senior Logan Haselden joyfully speaks about his 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback.

Logans love for cars came at a young age when he would ride around in his grandfathers 1973 Jeep Willies “Beep” as it is referred to in the Haselden family. Whether it was summer trips to the mountains or learning how to drive stick the passion for cars started with Beep.

Logan says that he always had a love for cars, but the Mustang in particular has a unique story; “It all started with Gone in 60 seconds, and the showcase car a 1967 Ford GT500 that Nicholas Cage would race around in” Logan explains.

The passion caught like wild fire when Logans mother took him to the Barrett Jackson Car Show in Scottsdale, AZ; where 100s of cars are auctioned to the highest bidder, but the expensive, luxurious cars weren’t the only thing that caught Logans eye. The very same 1967 Ford GT500 that starred in Gone in 60 Seconds had made an appearance at the show.

Sophomore year would be the year that Logan would meet his very own Mustang, a purchase off the internet, Logans Grabber Green Mustang came from a father-son duo similar to Logan and his father that didn’t have the expenses to complete the final touches of the car, so they left it in the hands of Logan.

But the Mustang resembles more than a fast car for Logan, as Logan explains, “I roll the windows down and go find backroads and drive around and you hear the wind, the engine, and the vibrations of the road and I can just relax”
